The TENSUS is more than a watch – it is an absolutely precise timepiece. In addition to the more than 300 individual parts, the precision balance and several fine adjustment mechanisms, it is equipped with a special twin mainspring barrel and a unique escape mechanism with constant power. It is a true masterpiece of the art of horology.
The TENSUS model counteracts the problem of decreasing mainspring power – and the resulting deviations of the movement – inherent in mechanical watches with an own design of escapement comprising a triple escape mechanism with dual escape wheel and constant power drive. The mainspring of the movement is wound up utilizing two escape wheels working independently of one another, the balance always therefore being supplied with the same amount of energy.
In the same spirit the twin mainspring barrel is also an own construction, minimising energy losses due to friction in spite of the great forces involved. The winding reserve is also particularly easy and energy-efficient, operating by means of a differential.
The design of the TENSUS is restrained and dignified in equal measure. Inspired by the work casings used in chronometry competitions of the past centuries, the case of the TENSUS, with its balanced interplay of satin and polished surfaces discreetly emphasizes the technical perfection of the movement. The same understatement is shown in the design of the dial, which is kept classical and business-like, emphasizing the inner values of the chronometer. Each detail of the embellishments has its origin in Switzerland and these have been further refined through hand bevelled edges.
